Salisbury - Sherman S. Salisbury, aged 77, passed away early Saturday morning at his home, 765 Hawthorne St., NE. Surviving are his widow, Evelyn; a daughter, Miss Caroline Salisbury, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Salisbury was removed to the Metcalf Mortuary, where services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. H. Cecil Fellers officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Sherman S. Salisbury Dies in Michigan

It became known in Auburn today that Sherman S. Salisbury, 77, former well-known Auburnian, died Saturday, March 22 at his home 756 Hawthorne Street NE., Grand Rapids, Mich.

Mr. Salisbury, who was born in Auburn, resided for many years in Auburn, where for a time he was manager of the Job Department of the Auburn Citizen. Later he opened a job printing establishment in Exchange Street and which nourished under the name of Salisbury Printing Company.

In 1914, Mr. Salisbury removed to Grand Rapids, where for 30 years he was superintendent of several printing plants, retiring 3 years ago. A 32nd degree Mason, Mr. Salisbury was a past member of Auburn Lodge of Masons and he was a life member of Malta Lodge of Masons of Grand Rapids. For a number of years, he was superintendent of the Sunday School of Central Christian Church of that city.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Salisbury, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Caroline Salisbury of Grand Rapids, and several nieces and nephews including Miss Clara E. Paul and Ralph C. Paul of Auburn. Mr. Paul attended the funeral and burial services at Grand Rapids.
