First Grand Festival of the German Singing Society, Liederkranz of Pittsfield, Comprising Concert and Ball, at West's Hall, on Monday, September 14, 1863. Tickets, $1.00. Doors opn at 7 1-2 o'clock, (P.M;) concert to commence at 8 o'clock.
Grand Picnic, At Learned's Grove, Opposite Taconic Mill, on Tuesday, September 15, 1863. There will be a vocal and instrumental concert during the afternoon. Refreshments can be procured on the ground. The use of liquor will be positively prohibited. The society will meet at the hall of the Liederkranz, (Root's Block,) at 9 a.m., where the will form the Procession and march to the Ground. Stages will leave the foot of North St., at 10 o'clock A.M., and hourly during the day. Tickets 25 cts. Ladies free. The following singing societies have tendered their services on the occasion: Lortzing Maenner Chor of Springfield, Teutonia Maenner Chor of New Haven, Harmonia of Hartford, Germania of Westfield, Glee Club of Greenfield.
The Celebrated Albany Brigade Band, Leader, Mr. Oppermann, will be in attendance.
