"Northumberland, a post-village in Northumberland township, Saratoga co., N.Y., on the Hudson River, about 35 miles N. of Albany, and 10 miles E. by N. of Saratoga Springs. The township is intersected by the Rensselaer & Saratoga Railroad, and contains a village named Gansevoort. Pop. of the township, 1624."
