Callan (Irish: Callainn) is a town and civil parish in County Kilkenny in Ireland. Situated 16 km (10 mi) south of Kilkenny on the N76 road to Clonmel, it is near the border with County Tipperary. It is the second largest town in the county.Tullamaine is a civil parish located in County Kilkenny, Ireland, specifically within the barony of Shillelogher. It's situated about 1.5 miles north of Callan, on the road towards Kilkenny city. Tullamaine is part of the diocese of Ossory and is part of the union of Callan, both in terms of ecclesiastical and Roman Catholic divisions.

"Tullamaine", or Tullamain, a parish, in the barony of Shillelogher, county of Kilkenny, and province of Leinster, 1 1/ 2 mile (N.) from Callan, on the road to Kilkenny; containing 435 inhabitants, and comprising 1147 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory and vicarage, in the diocese of Ossory, forming part of the union of Callan. In the R. C. divisions also it is part of the union or district of Callan.
