About Rangeley Plantation
The small community of Rangeley Plantation, not to be confused with the adjacent town of Rangeley, is situated on the south side of Rangeley Lake and is home to the wonderful Rangeley Lake State Park. Rangeley and Mooselookmeguntic Lakes provide excellent fishing, boating, and swimming opportunities during the summer, and the area is a popular road trip destination... umaine.edu
Bemis is a populated place located within the Plantation of Rangeley.
[RAANJ-lee] Plantation is located south of the town of Rangeley in Franklin County, and was formally organized on March 5, 1895.
Known as Dallas Plantation until 1852, it was organized for election purposes in 1840 and 1859.
Named for Squire James Rangeley, as was the Town of Rangeley, the Plantation has substantial frontage on Mooselookmeguntic Lake and on Rangeley Lake.
