[WES-tun] is a town in Aroostook County, incorporated on March 17, 1835 from a portion of the Hampden Academy Grant township. It annexed some unincorporated land in 1855, land from Bancroft in 1907, and ceded land to Danforth in 1885.

1839 - Weston
Weston, Maine
Washington county. This town was incorporated in 1835. It is the half township granted to Hampden academy. It lies a few miles west from Grand Lake; it is watered by Baskahegan river, and is about 90 miles N.E. from Bangor. Population, 1837, 213. Wheat crop, same year, 4,706 bushels.
