Stoneham: Found in Oxford County, Stoneham is a small, mountainous town near the White Mountain National Forest. It’s a great place for hiking and exploring nature.Stoneham was made a town from part of Fryeburg Academy Grant Plantation and part of Batchelder's Grant Plantation in 1843. Oxford county. Stoneham was incorporated in 1834. It lays westerly of Albany and comprises the grant to Fryeburgh Academy. Population, 1837, 290.
