About Stoneham

Stoneham: Found in Oxford County, Stoneham is a small, mountainous town near the White Mountain National Forest. It’s a great place for hiking and exploring nature.

Stoneham was made a town from part of Fryeburg Academy Grant Plantation and part of Batchelder's Grant Plantation in 1843. In 1851 Stoneham changed its name to Usher, but changed it back again in 1853. familysearch.org
