Roxbury is situated in western Maine, near the border with New Hampshire. It is part of the Bethel Census Area and is about 70 miles northwest of the state capital, Augusta. The town is characterized by its rural charm, rolling hills, and lush forests. The region is part of the Appalachian Mountains. The Androscoggin River flows nearby, providing opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. The White Mountain National Forest and the Grafton Notch State Park are also within a reasonable driving distance.
