Palermo, Maine
Waldo county. This town is watered by several beautiful ponds which form the head waters of Sheepscot river. This is a farming town of good soil and undulating surface,—it produced, in 1837, 5,326 bushels of wheat. Population, same year, 1,538. It lies 16 miles E.N.E. from Augusta, and 24 W. from Belfast. Incorporated, 1804.
