Dennysville (Washington Co.) was incorpoarted in 1818 from Number 2 Putnam Survey Plantation (T2 PS), also known as Dennysville Plantation, also known as Pennamaquan. Land was set off to form Pembroke in 1832. familysearch.orgDennysville was settled in the late 18th century and has a rich history dating back to the early days of American colonization. Washington county. This town is bounded on the S. by Cobscook bay, and watered by a river of the same name. It lies 172 miles E.N.E. from Augusta and 22 N.E. from Machias. Population, 1837, 349.
