[KUT-ler] is a town in Washington County, incorporated on January 28, 1826 from Plantation Number 11 ED.

Cutler, Maine
Washington county. Bounded S. by the Atlantic Ocean, and about 20 miles S.W. from W. Quoddy Head. It contains Little Machias bay and Little river, and is bounded W. by Machias bay. Cutler has a good harbor, and a population of 667. 164 miles E. by N. from Augusta and 10 S.E. from Machias.

Cutler, a post-township (town) of Washington co., Me., on the Atlantic Ocean, 18 miles ESE. of Machias. It has a good harbor for large vessels. Pop. in 1900, 565.
