1839 - Bingham
Bingham, Maine
Somerset county. On the eastern bank of Kennebec river, opposite to Concord, 26 miles N. from Norridgewock, 118 N.N.E. from Portland, and 55 N. from Augusta. Incorporated, 1812. Population, 1837, 701. In 1837, 2,548 bushels of wheat was raised in this town.

1906 - Bingham
Bingham, a post-township (town) and hamlet of Somerset co., Me., 52 miles N. of Augusta, is bounded on the W. by the Kennebec River. It is on the Somerset R. The banking point is Skowhegan. It has manufacturers of lumber, etc. Pop. in 1900, 841.
