Loudon, New Hampshire
Merrimack county. Soucook river passes from Gilmanton S. through Loudon, furnishing valuable mill privileges. There is some good intervale on its borders. Loudon was originally part of Canterbury: was incorporated, 1773. Loudon lies 7 miles N.E. from Concord. Population, 1830, 1,642.

Loudon, a post - village of Merrimack co., N.H., in Loudon township, on the Suncook River, 7 or 8 miles N.N.E. of Concord. It has 3 churches, a grist-mill, several saw-mills, a tannery, a manufactory of carriages, a black-smith shop, and general stores. Pop. of the township, about 1000.
