1842 - Église de Sainte-Victoire established at Sainte-Victoire-de-Sorel

It was on April 5, 1842 that the parish of Sainte-Victoire-de-Sorel was established following the detachment of the parish of Saint-Pierre-de-Sorel.
The new parish receives the name of Sainte-Victoire in honor of the young queen of Great Britain.
