Saint-Timothée is a former municipality located in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada, on Île-de-Salaberry in the St. Lawrence River. The municipality is flanked by the cities of Beauharnois to the east, and to the west by Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, which Saint-Timothée was merged with on January 1, 2002. touristlink.com

Saint-Timothée is located in the seigniory of Beauharnois, granted by King Louis XV to the Marquis de Beauharnois, in 1729. Saint-Timothée is then called "Pointe-aux-Érables".

1817: There are 60 families in Saint-Timothée. Most of them crossed the river from the village opposite, Les Cèdres, but also from L'Ile-Perrot.

1819: A first chapel is built. It is served by the parish priest of Cedars. The first resident priest arrived in 1828.
