1867 - August 21 - In Clarendon, Calhoun county, Mich., last week, a girl named Humston, fourteen years old, a farmer's daughter, gave birth to a child, the result of incestuous intercourse with her brother.
A day or two after the girl died after great suffering, caused, it is supposed, by poison administered by the brother, who had disappeared.
