1854 - Clarendon
Clarendon, a post-township in the S. E. part of Calhoun county, Michigan. Population, 669.
1867 - August 21 - In Clarendon, Calhoun county, Mich., last week, a girl named Humston, fourteen years old, a farmer's daughter, gave birth to a child, the result of incestuous intercourse with her brother.
A day or two after the girl died after great suffering, caused, it is supposed, by poison administered by the brother, who had disappeared.
1867 - August 17 - Sunday before last, at Clarendon, Michigan, while several young people were returning from meeting in a carriage, a furious bull pursued them four miles.
By running the team they arrived at home and drove in the yard just in time to escape him.
Clarendon, was a station on the Michigan Air Line Railroad of the Michigan Central Railroad, beginning in approximately 1870.
1880 - April 2 - Some of the Queer Happenings of a Few Days.
Gilbert Budd, of Clarendon, Mich., died at the close of morning family prayers, before he had risen from his knees. He was 60 years old.
1889 - September 27 - At Clarendon, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Heath have just celebrated the 57th anniversary of their wedding.
They have five children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and there hasn't been a death in the family.

Clarendon, a post-hamlet of Calhoun co., Mich., 14 miles by rail S. of Marshall. It has saw- and cider-mills, a jelly-factory, and a land-roller factory.
