The parish of Saint-Zéphirin-de-Courval was canonically constituted in 1828, but a first wooden chapel-church according to plans by the famous architect Thomas Baillairgé was not erected until around 1843.

1855 - St-Zéphirin-de-Courval incorporated
The civil constitution of the parish municipality of Saint-Zéphirin-de-Courval takes place in 1855. A new church replaces the chapel-church of 1845, in 1871, but it is demolished in 1900 because of the deficiencies of its foundations and by later a new parish church was built in 1903.
