Saint-Sauveur: A well-known ski resort town in the Laurentides, Saint-Sauveur is popular for its winter sports but also attracts tourists in the summer for hiking, shopping, and its charming village atmosphere.
The parish of Saint-Sauveur was incorporated in 1855, but it was in 2002, following the merger of Saint-Sauveur and Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts that the current town was created. It has nearly nine thousand Sauveroises and Sauverois and stretches over approximately 48 square kilometers in the Laurentians. The municipality is part of the Regional County Municipality of Pays-d'En-Haut.
A curious historical fact: the parish of Saint-Sauveur was initially baptized “La Circumcision” by the famous Curé Labelle, the King of the North.
