Saint-Esprit: A charming village in Lanaudière, Saint-Esprit offers a tranquil rural setting with access to nature.

Founded in 1808 and incorporated on July 1, 1955, this locality has a population of approximately 2,000 Spiritois and Spritois and covers an area of 54 square kilometers.

This municipality is in the Lanaudière region, 12 kilometers northeast of the city of Laurentides and 8 kilometers south of Sainte-Julienne.

Formerly, the territory was identified as the Ruisseau-Saint-Esprit concession. The place, erected on the banks of the Saint-Esprit River, of which it occupies both banks, could have taken its name from this river, just like the post office opened in 1852.
