Roseville, Macomb, MI
It was in Wayne County when tavern-keeper William C Rose became its first postmaster on Sept. 21, 1836; the community developed largely through an influx of Irish and German settlers about 1843; it was a part of Erin Township until incorporated as a village in 1925; incorporated as a city in 1957.
