Oyster Bay, a post-village and watering-place in Oyster Bay township, Queens co., N.Y., on an inlet of Long Island Sound, about 30 miles E. by N. of New York, and 24 miles N. of Syosset. It contains 6 churches. Steam boats ply between this place and New York. The township is bounded N. by Long Island Sound, and S. by the Atlantic Ocean. It contains Glen Cove and other villages.
