Biography
'Daniel Lunt (17 May 1641 - 26 January 1702/ 03)

Daniel Lunt, sometimes referred to as Cornet Daniel Lunt and next in lineal descent, followed his father's footsteps. He took the oath of allegiance to Newbury, Massachusetts, in 1678, and lead a full and productive life there, marrying twice, raising nine children, and leaving a considerable estate to his widow and heirs. The fortunes of the Lunt family were following those of Newbury itself, which from its stock-trading origins was expanding into other arenas. Daniel Lunt's enterprises included being captain of a vessel engaged in coastal trade, dealing in such wares as malt and iron, He also owned land on Plum Island. Daniel Lunt died at age 61; he had already conveyed considerable land and property to his heirs and had left his house and surrounding property in trust for his widow some years earlier.'
