Josephte was the child of François DALPE dit ST-CERNY and Thérèse DALPE dite MONTOUR.

Francois married (2) Marie MARCHAND 6 February 1837 in Napierville, Lower Canada . Marie MARCHAND was born 1 April 1775 in Chambly, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-Chambly). Marie died 17 November 1847 in Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur, Québec, Canada. Marie was the child of Antoine MARCHAND and Agathe CHARBONNEAU.
