McWHINNIE, Alvin. (1934 - 2008). Passed away at the Barrie Memorial Hospital, Ormstown, on November 2, 2008. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Mather), dear father of Doug, Judy and Trudy (Jorg Muehleisen); special grandpa to Meaghan, Kinsley, Ashley, Jordan, Dylan, Mitchell and Tyler, and also survived by his sister Margaret Lowden (Roy) and brother Carl (Maureen). Visitation will be held at the McGerrigle Funeral Home Inc., Ormstown (tel.: 450-829-2214), on Thursday, November 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, November 7 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barrie Memorial Hospital Foundation, 28 Gale St., Ormstown, QC, J0S 1K0, in his memory would be appreciated by the family.
