'Jonathan Farnsworth, the sixth son and tenth child was born 1 JUN 1675 in Groton, Mass., in an exceedingly troubled time. He was abducted by the Indians and raised by them. (for more information read his history). He married in 1698 to Ruth Shattuck, daughter of John and Ruth Whitney Shattuck of Watertown. She was born 24 JUN 1678.'
