Scholastique HOUDE was the child of Alexis-Clair HOUDE   and   Marie-Angélique CHEVREFILS dite BELISLE and the grandchild of: (paternal)  Claude HOUDE and Marie-Marguerite TROTTIER (maternal)  Jean-Joseph CHEVREFILS dit BELISLE and Élisabeth BENOIT dite LAFOREST

Scholastique  married  Jean CAYA (CAILLA) 18 August 1834 in Baie-du-Fèbvre, Lower Canada .  The couple had (at least) 5 children. Jean CAYA (CAILLA)  was born 26 December 1805 in Baie-du-Fèbvre, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine-de-la-Baie-du-Febvre).  Jean died 3 March 1891 in Tingwick, Quebec, Canada.  Jean was the child of Louis-Joseph CAYA (CAILLA) and Josephte VANASSE PRÉCOURT.
