Obituary
Daniel Christopher Koenig passed away on March 7th, 2015, at the young age of 24.
Dan was born April 26th, 1990, and grew up in the greater Tahoe City area, graduating from North Tahoe High with the Class of 2008.
He loved all the outdoor activities that our beautiful Tahoe environment offers and spent his free time hiking, fishing, camping, bicycling, skateboarding, riding dirtbikes, wheeling into Desolation, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer.
For work Dan found great satisfaction and a true sense of belonging in what he slyly referred to as forestry management.
A materialistic minimalist, Dan lived a maximum life of his own design. His outlook was inspirational and carefree. He laughed easily and tended to be the life of the party.
Dan, we will remember your easy ways, playful spirit and infectious smile. We already miss your ridiculously funny antics. Our hikes through the forest and the “Stick of Death” will never
