STEPHEN WILLIAMS, of Great Yarmouth, County Norfolk, son of Robert Williams & Jane Shepherd of West Somerton, of a sixteenth century family which reaches back to a considerable antiquity.

The St. Nicholas Church Parish Register for "Mariage" on 22 Sep 1605 says:
"Steven Willyams" and "Mgarot Cooke" on "September 1605" the "22"nd.
Margaret COOKE was the daughter of Nicholas COOKE of North Repps, County of Norfolk, and Winifred COOKE.

They had a family of:
I. Ann, christened 7 Sep 1606,
II. ROBERT, bap. 11 Dec 1608,
III. Thomas,
IV. Nicholas, bap. 11 Aug 1616,
V. John,
VI. Margaret,
VII. Frances, and
VIII. Steven (infant) buried 29 Oct 1625 at St. Nicholas Church burial yard.

Stephen died in Great Yarmouth, and was buried 19 Sep 1625, a week after his wife Margaret died.
