Sgt. Robert J. “Rob” Morrissey, USAF (Ret.), 59, of Panama City, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Rob was born on September 29, 1962 in Jupiter, FL to Robert “Bob” Morrissey and Connie Tremblay Sanders.
After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and honorably served 22 years with integrity, loyalty and bravery, serving at numerous Air Force bases stateside and overseas to include Afghanistan and Desert Storm. He proudly served as a brother in the 554th RED HORSE Squadron. Throughout his military career he received several awards and medals for his exemplary and outstanding service, duty and dedication. Rob was a loving father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle. His happiest moments were spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved to fish, was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and of Catholic faith. He was predeceased in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Morrissey, his step- father, James Sanders
