Jane 'Erica' Cody, 62, of Springfield died at 3:57 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born October 25, 1950 in Fresno, CA to Earl and Dorothy (Klyver) Knobloch. Her mother preceded her in death. She married William J. Cody on June 25, 1975.

Erica was a resident of Springfield since 1989. She received her degree in Modern Dance in Fresno, CA. She was a choreographer for the Fresno City Ballet, Fresno City College and Visalia Dance Company. She received a Masters Degree with honors in Computer Science at UIS-Springfield and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was also a Jewelry Artist and published articles on the use of color. Erica was the recipient of Friend of the Arts in Dance Award at Fresno City College. She was a Business Analyst at Rose International.

Surviving are her husband, William J. Cody of Springfield, IL; father and step-mother, Earl and Beverly Knobloch of Fresno, CA; two...Read MORE...
