Joseph died 27 November 1830 in Sorel, Québec, Canada (Saint-Pierre). Joseph was the child of Pierre-Claude CARTIER and Marie-Louise ST-MARTIN.
Marie married (2) Alexandre OSSANT (AUSSAN) dit LANGE 28 February 1832 in Contrecœur, Lower Canada . Alexandre OSSANT (AUSSAN) dit LANGE was born 27 February 1811 in Sorel, Québec, Canada (Saint-Pierre). Alexandre died 7 June 1873 in Contrecœur, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Trinité-de-Contrecoeur). Alexandre was the child of Jean-Baptiste OSSANT (AUSSAN) dit LANGE and Marie-Amable MATTE.
From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.

1763 to 1791 - Province of Québec
1791 to 1867 - Lower Canada
1867 to present - Québec, Canada.
