Joseph died 28 February 1816 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur). Joseph was the child of Joseph-Antoine RIEL dit L'IRLANDE and Marie-Anne PERRAULT.
