Leola Therese Marie  married  Sigurmundur Oscar SIGURDSON .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Sigurmundur Oscar SIGURDSON  was born February 8, 1913 in Bifrost - Arnes RM , Manitoba, Canada.  Sigurmundur Oscar died April 10, 1968 in Fort Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.  Sigurmundur Oscar was the child of Sigurmundur Magnus SIGURDSON and Svanbjorg SIGFUSDOTTIR.

Mother was Born at home in The Pas, MB on Bignell Ave. The new Hospital in The Pas was being built this year in 1928. The whole family were born at home. I believe her Aunties were there to help and a few doctors also made house calls in those days.

My Mother Leola was the only girl in the family, so she was blessed with five brothers to watch over her. As a child she had Polio, and the local Doctor told her father & mother she would never walk. My Grandparents were determined that she would walk someday. The next visit from the local doctor was met with a Miracle - Leola was now walking on her own. He was astonished! You can be sure the Langlois family prayed day & night for a cure. Their prayers were answered. Mother had more battles to fight with her Health. She contracted T. B. at the age of sixteen, attended a to T.B. Clinic in Winnipeg and was sent to the Ninette - T.B. Sanatorium for treatments. She spent about a year there. My Grandparents were able to visit her once and she cried so hard when they left, the Doctor advised them to not come back until she was finished her treatments. They lived over five-hundred miles away, and my Uncle drove them there in a Taxi-Cab!
The next challenge was Breast Cancer at 80 years old. She overcame that and in later years had a Cancerous Tumor in her Colon removed in Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB - She recovered quite well and continued her many hobbies. Her last admittance in St. Anthony's General Hospital for Lung Cancer was her last battle with disease. Mother died in St.
Anthony's Gen. Hospital at the ripe age of 89 years old. We were making plans for her to come home, at her request. God and his Angels had other plans for her. I am sure she made it straight to Heaven! Love from Irene & Family (Irene Davie)
