News1962 - The Cuban Missile Crisis was a tense 13-day standoff in October 1962 between the United States and the Soviet Union over the installation of Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba, just 90 miles from the U.S. coast. Obituary
Southbridge - Diane L. Renaud, 68, of West Main St., passed away on Thursday, March 1, in Lanessa Extended Care, Webster, after an illness.

She leaves her mother, Evelyn V. (Bartlett) Renaud of Southbridge; two brothers, Francis Renaud of Charlton, and Harry Renaud of Dudley; two sisters, June Renaud of Southbridge and Yvonne Dalton of Southbridge; and many nieces and nephews.

She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of the late Frank X. Renaud.

Diane worked in the kitchen at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge as a cafeteria worker for many years. She enjoyed listening to music especially Country music. Diane loved square dancing and enjoyed sewing.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8th, at 10:00am in Notre Dame Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge.
