The crisis ended when Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev agreed to remove the missiles in exchange for the U.S. promising not to invade Cuba and secretly agreeing to remove American missiles from Turkey.

Obituary
St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church in St. Martinville, for Perry Case, Sr., 57, who passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Iberia Medical Center.

Rev. Jessie Charpentier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Perry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed going to the camp, fishing, gardening, and working around his house. He also enjoyed playing pool with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie Carline Case of Loreauville; his mother, Edna Mire Case of St. Martinville; two sons, Perry Case Jr. of New Iberia, and Colby Case of Loreauville; four brothers, Roy (Thelma) Case of Greenburg, LA, Mark (Claudette) Case of Parks, Patrick (Patricia) Case Sr. of Coteau Holmes, and Jerry (Nancy) Case of Coteau Holmes; and his sister, Betty Couvillier of Coteau Holmes.

He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Case Sr.;
