PITTSFIELD - Margaret M. Porter, 46, of Westfield, a native of Pittsfield, died Tuesday, June 10, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Born in Pittsfield on June 6, 1957, daughter of Canio and Barbara Gallagher Carbone, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She moved to Westfield in 1975.

She had been employed as a teacher's aide at the Fort Meadow School Early Childhood Center in Westfield for eight years.

She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. She enjoyed working with children.

She leaves her husband of 21 years, Robert M. Porter; two sons, Jeremy M. Porter and Nathan R. Porter, both of Westfield, and a brother, Phillip R. Carbone of Westfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Margaret M. Porter, who died June 10, 2003, will be Monday at 9 at FIRTION-ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 76 Broad St., Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Peter's Church, 22 State St., Westfield. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Fort Meadow School Early Childhood Center, in care of Marie Cheney, 35 White St., Westfield, MA 01085. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter, and enjoyed going to her sons' baseball, soccer and basketball games.
