My Mom was beautiful & very intelligent. She had a very unusual sense of humor and often used gestures, or eyebrow raises to accentuate a joke. She met my dad, and they married in 1951. She had 5 children - 2 girls and 3 boys. Mom was the disciplinarian but loved her children more than life. She was the best cook ever and my friends always wanted to come and stay at my house because our house was home. She had uncontrolled diabetes which ultimately caused her death of renal & heart failure at age 69.
