Joseph-Marie  married  Thérèse BÉCHARD 8 January 1753 in Québec, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 1 child. Thérèse BÉCHARD  was born 19 March 1735 in Beaumont, Québec, Canada (Saint-Étienne-de-Beaumont).  Thérèse died 11 April 1803 in L'Acadie, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie).  Thérèse was the child of Louis BÉCHARD and Catherine-Francoise GUENETTE.

Joseph-Marie LAVOIE died 8 August 1764 in Kamouraska, Province of Québec, Canada .
