Obituary

ARCHIE LEE BURCHAM, 88, of Kinston, N.C., passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Archie was co-owner of Burcham and Rouse Insurance Agency, a charter member of Northwest Christian Church, and a World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Burcham, parents Grover C. Burcham and Margaret Caroline Garrigan Burcham, daughter Carolyn Sue Burcham and brother Raynor Burcham.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Northwest Christian Church with Rev. James Kent officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday night at Edwards Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and other times at the home.

Survivors include his daughters Dixie Burcham of Kinston, Dawn Burcham Harper of Raleigh, N.C., and grandson Ben Burcham Harper of Raleigh. Also surviving Archie are his nephews Tom and Tim Burcham, special niece Angie Hollowell and husband Tommy, and family friends Curtis and Miriam Drake.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Northwest Christian Church 2009 Carey Road Kinston, N.C. 28501. Edwards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
