Obituary



Lawndale – Mr. Harland Delano Vaughn, 68, of 418 Plainsview Church Road passed away Saturday, May 27, 2012 at Wendover.

Born in Cleveland County on March 1, 1944, he was a son of the late H.D. Vaughn and Ora Kathern Shehan Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn worked for Cleveland Mills and was a member of Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church where he was in charge of the Wednesday night services.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Evie Vaughn; son, Jack Vaughn and fiancée Teresa Moore of Vale; brother, Dennis Vaughn and wife Vertie of Casar; granddaughters, Hillary Mull and fiancé Jeff McKinney and Kelsey Vaughn and great granddaughter, Nora McKinney.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church with Revs. Harry Queen and Lamar Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
