Cumberland county. This town is watered by Crooked river, which empties into Sebago lake. The soil is very good, and produced, in 1837, 4,525 bushels of wheat. It lies 82 miles S.S.W. from Augusta, and 32 N.N.W. from Portland. Population 1830, 1,257.
