Monmouth, a post-village in Monmouth township, Kennebec co., Me, on the Maine Central Railroad, 16 miles N.E. of Lewiston, and 16 miles W.S.W. of Augusta. It contains the Monmouth Academy, 2 churches, 2 tanneries. Pop. of the township in 1890, 1362.
