Caribou, a banking post-village and township (town) of Aroostook co., Me., on the Aroostook River and on the Bangor and Aroostook and the Canadian Pacific Rs., 64 miles N. of Houlton. It has manufactures of starch, sash, shingles, etc. Pop. of the town in 1900. 4758.
