Paris, or Paris Hill, a post-village, capital of Oxford co., Me., in Paris township (town), about 50 miles N. by E. of Portland. It is on a hill about 800 feet high and is surrounded by picturesque scenery. The banking point is Norway. Pop. in 1900, 251. The town also contains South Pars. Mount Mica, in Paris town, is remarkable for the abundance and variety of rare minerals especially beryls and tourmalines, which it contains. Pop. of the town in 1900, 3225.
