Wabash, a city, capital of Wabash co., Ind., on the Wabash River and on the Wabash and the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Rs., 42 miles SW. of Fort Wayne. It contains a number of notable public buildings (Memorial Hall, Wabash City Library), and has large railroad-shops, iron-works, and manufactures of church, school and office-furniture, box-board and paper, cash-registers, sleds and carts, hats, etc. Pop. in 1900, 8618.
