LOTBINIERE, a county in the eastern part of Quebec, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence. Area 460,649 acres. The River du Chene and the Beaurivage flow through it. Capital, Lotbiniere. Pop. 20,606.
LOTBINIERE, the capital of Lotbinière co., Que., is situated on the south shore or the St. Lawrence, 47 miles S. of Quebec. It contains 2 large foundries, saw and grist mills, a convent, a Roman Catholic church, and several stores. Pop. 2,129.
