1888 - Extensive floods in Austro-Hungary were reported on the 13th.

Bridges had been swept away and large areas converted into lakes. Several villages were submerged and a large number of person had been drowned.

A fire destroyed the market place at Cabin, Hungary, on the 13th, and many persons perished in the flames.
