1938 - FIVE ARE BURNED TO DEATH. FATHER AND 4 CHILDREN PERISH IN THEIR HOME.
Franklin, N. J. (AP) - A father and four children were burned to death in a fire that all but destroyed their two story frame house.
The bodies were charred beyond recognition. Police Chief Herbert C. Irons said the fire was probably caused by an overheated wood stove in the kitchen.
