1829 - Melancholy Incident

News
Quebec, August 27.
A melancholy incident occurred a few days ago a little below Kamouraska. Two children of about six years of age, who had gone to gather fruit did not return home the same day they left the house. About dusk the anxious mother went in search of them, but in vain; eight days elapsed without hearing of them, when they were found dead in each others little embraces at the foot of a tree. What sufferings must these little innocent beings have borne before death.
