He married  Sarah Poore 2 May 1717 in Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay .  The couple had (at least) 1 child. Sarah Poore  was born 18 January 1693 in Newbury, Massachusetts, USA .  She died abt. 1730 in Rowley, Massachusetts, USA .  She was the daughter of Henry Poore and Abigail Hale.

John Spafford died 11 October 1735 in Bradford, Province of Massachusetts Bay.
